10 days

Feels big. I want to be to a point in the future where I don't count the days any longer, but for now I'm proud. I've been stronger than I thought I could. Now to keep with it.

Congrats on 10 days!

I try to count the days behind and never forward, one day at time.

I drank for 26 years so I guess I will count the sober days I have accomplished for at least that long...lol

I got to 23 months and told a friend who asked when I was going to stop counting (I had only done a quick mental check).... I answered that I was so thrilled and amazed I was still sober that I just had to keep a check on the time!

Congratulations on 10 days!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!! Yes its normal to count the days at the start. Time even seems to go extra slow, as if it isnt bad enough when your first starting out. Trust me though, it will bet better and it wont be so consuming as you go on. I am 2 years into recovery and its not something that is ALWAYS on my mind, like it was that first few months. Now I have a life that doesn't revolve around alcohol, and I only pay attention to yearly anniversaries of my sobriety. You will get there too, and also experience many wonderful things along the way. I am excited for you!!!!
