Day 26 check in
Glad you are calling the health center, they should be able to give you some peace of mind if nothing else. Make sure you are 100% truthful about why you are there and what led up to this point, they can only help they know what the problem really is.
Sobriety is hard, that is true. The first several weeks are definitely the hardest though, and you are still in the middle of them. Stay strong as the long term results will be well worth it.

If you are in the states you may qualify for charity care local hospitals run all sorts of programs mental health addiction medical needs. Often the payment is the same or lower then an insurance copay. I hope that you find the help you need. You have come so far
The days are starting to drag along mow. I am sooo tired all the time and I only have one week left of class and I can focus 100 percent on my sobriety. Getting some kind of health insurance is sonething I have been meaning to do, and I have an appointment tomorrow that will last two hours. I need to be honest with them about the thoughts I have of hurting myself but I am afraid they will put me in hospital. I am still craving a drink and a cigarette, but I am determined to get healthy and stable. My depression has been untreated for way too long.
Good luck tomorrow Acheleus. When I first started seeing a psychiatrist for depression, I withheld all details about my alcohol abuse. I thought that if I got the depression under control, I wouldn't feel the need to drink. It's no surprise that I went on for several years getting worse and worse.
If the doctors don't know your full story, they can't properly diagnose or treat you. With proper treatment (whether that's medication, therapy, both...), you can start feeling better very quickly. As hard as it is to be open, it's the fastest way to start feeling better. Good luck!

Don't go!! I want to as well. I am only on day two but every time I drink it escalates and something horrible happens. I'm depressed and anxious too. I picked sores all over my face and neck today because I'm so uncomfortable in my skin. I have been suicidal as well. Lets be strong together. One hour at a time.

Ach - don't give in!!
Also, most universities offer low cost basic health insurance for students. It is actually a requirement of admission to either have insurance or get on the university plan.
Colleges are wonderful places with all the support you need available - sounds like you have researched and are taking advantage of those. Good for you!!
I'm rooting for you!!!
