New to Recovery Forum!
hello everyone,
This is my first post. I just found this board today. I have been sober since May 12, 2012. I first admitted I had a problem in 2008 and it took me this long to get over a year!
I am someone who had a lot of good experiences with alcohol and got away with it for a very long time before it turned on me. I honestly never thought I would get to a point where I have to give it up. My bottles of wine were like someone else's carton of ice cream...I drank because I thought it was comforting and for a while I genuinely thought I enjoyed it...
Anyway that's all for now. I look forward to future sharing!
