3rd day in

This is my third night sober. Normally, I drink every night, about 10 units, the equivalent of a bottle of wine. Finding not getting my nighly 'reward' is very gloomy and have been in bed by 8.30pm each night. Drink is in my thoughts a lot, but then, it always is. Can't get rid of jaw tension, anyone else experience this? On the upside, I had more energy this morning than I have had for a long time, and I do feel very pleased with myself that I have made this change and actually DONE it, rather than just talk about it.

Congrats on the 3 days. You will be detoxing for several days, getting headaches, night sweats, and other things as your body tries to clear out all the bad stuff.

Great job on your 3 sober days Carlygirl. We understand how hard it is - but it will get easier.

3 days is fantastic! I'm on day 2 (again!!) and I'm in bed early too when not drinking. I think taking it nice and easy is the best approach. If it all gets too much I'll be in bed at 6pm tonight!
