A slip/trip followed by a small win
So I had my birthday. And I tripped. Went to a small festival, didn't drink there, then a pub after with my friends....and had 2 pints of Guinness.
Felt like crap (that same anxiety) again 2 days later, but was proud that I at least didn't go overboard.
After me and the mrs. Went to a cottage for some days as a little get away. And the win was NO DRINKING the entire time.......cottage life with no beers is definitely different. The local LCBO was close enough but had no real desires.
Little wins are what it's all about I feel.

Thanks folks. "Right track" I like that.
Hope to remain on this track indefinitely. It's easy to think about a drink and how easy it SHOULD be to have only one, but I am not a person who can have only one.
I guess a lot of us share that in common.
I wasn't a morning drinker, or even day drinker. But back from work it was three tall cans a night. Or a bottle of wine. Or a few old fashions (loved bourbon at the end)
But when I started, I could keep going, wife went to bed I'd stay up and drink.
And all bets were off if I had a partner or two willing to go the mile with me.
