Day 2

Im new to this site. I've been in court ordered drug/alcohol classes and had a urine test coming up. I took 1 valium 2 weeks ago and did an at home test and it still shows up. I am afraid to go back to my last class next Tuesday because if it shows positive, I will have to go back to court and possibly jail. Any thoughts or comments...I know I shouldn't have taken the valium but I did it bc I have anxiety and didn't want to drink.

Hi KK...what's done is done and worrying does not serve you as I don't think the outcome of this is in your control. You need to surrender to that and do your best to walk the straight and narrow until that test. Good outcomes happen all the time.

Do you have a desire to get clean and sober? Or do you just view the class as a "punishment" you have to get through?

Why do you want to quit?

Well, then I hope you follow up the class with a program of recovery, either 12-step based, involvement in one of the secular programs, or using SR.

If you want to get sober, you can. If you resent being sent to class and told to "quit" you won't.
