I too am very angry about his choices he has made and continues to make that negatively impact our family. He constantly puts himself at risk to DWI, Possession, losing his job, etc... that could impact the wellbeing of our kids. My husband just doesnt get it.

Drug addiction is like carrying one of those handheld nuclear missile launchers you see in video games: when he inadvertently sets off the warhead, he takes himself out and those closest to him within the blast radius.

So, he didn't do this to you, Mareahh. He did it to himself. Although you may find this difficult, you can't personalize what he's done because he's sick. He is consumed with his addiction, and people in that frame of mind cannot think of either the consequences to themselves or to those who love them.

I'm sorry for your pain. But in order to heal, you have to frame the problem differently...

Yeah. Makes sense. Thank you. I'm just down and mad At him today. Just learned he may get 5 years in prison. So I'm pretty upset with him right now

No. So I'm pretty upset about it. He's not a criminal. But I guess supporting his habit was more important.

If he gets the time, since he is innocent of the one charge, he will get a chance to appeal it. And, participating in and completing the drug classes will be in his favor.

He's done one drug program while in county. Were trying to get an alternative like drug rehab or house arrest. Idk.
