spiritual help

hi,

my family was treating me like bad person for not going to AA, i am in AA now and they treat me like bad person for that. i am trying to do things right by god, but my parents keep treating me like i am bad. this is a huge burden right now. please. i don't know what anyone here can say about this. just pray for me. i understand the struggle with alcoholism too.

maybe it just helps to say something and have other people say hi.

Praying for you. Hang in there. Do the next right thing. Stay focused on your recovery. Are your parents familiar with alcoholism? Perhaps they don't understand or may even blame themselves in some way for your addiction. My parents were in denial for quite a long time and later somehow felt responsible for my addiction--which wasn't the case. Just give them some time and perhaps be available to talk to them about it openly when they are at a place to discuss any questions or concerns they might have. In the meantime, keep moving forward. We do recover.

Hey there. You aren't bad. Neither am I. We just weren't very well.

I know what you mean, I spend lots of time here reading and responding and I think a lot of it is just about knowing that I'm not alone with this. I felt really, drastically alone for so long. So I come here just to know I'm not crazy.

I'm glad you're here, hang in there.

iwanthealth, I can't do anything but be a person saying hi, but I'll do that--Hi.

Maybe you can find something here Spirituality - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information to help tide you over until someone w/more to offer shows up to talk?

Know that another imperfect and struggling human is here with you, if that helps at all.

(((((hugs)))))
