Addiction can turn a perfectly healthy individual into a complete mess. There are many things that one can become addicted to. The common denominator is that it can ruin your life. Whether it be gambling, drugs, or some other kind of substance abuse, your life can quickly spin out of control if you aren't careful. There are some people that are born with an addictive personality. They may try a drug one time and it can ruin their lives forever. Others experiment with all sorts of lifestyle choices and nothing seems to stick to them. When it comes to addiction, there is nothing fair about it.

Yes addiction's not fair. But life's not fair either. Once a person accepts this fact their life becomes more powerful.

Nothing is fair........ or maybe everything is fair....... I don't see how you can know for sure. Just because things don't go the way you want or think, doesn't mean it isn't fair.

A petfectly healthy person could also get a disease , which is what addiction is. You may say " why me " . Well , " why not you ". Anyone could get anything , it's not that you got it , its how you respond to it. If you got cancer you would seek treatment , same for addiction. We wouldn't just sit back and let it progress. You've got to want to get better. It's up to you
