Day 70 of Recovery!
Just wanted to share that I've hit day 70 Feeling good. Making some changes in my daily routine. It's slow going but I think I'm making progress. I'm continuing to keep recovery my #1 priority.
Since I'm beginning a meditation practice, I've found an interesting article I'd like to share: Meditation’s positive residual effects | Harvard Gazette
It seems that meditation can have lasting effects on the brain structure and emotional control centers (amygdala). Two types of meditation were studied, each giving a slightly different effect.
This is exciting for me, because I was told in a brain lecture that the amygdala goes through an accelerated healing process in the first 90 days of recovery. Not sure about the specifics but I'd love to find out more... that's how I came across that article.

Bring on the PAWS, lol. Im kidding, somewhat. Congrats on the 70 days, its a pretty great accomplishment and you should feel proud. You are almost out of that pesky 2-3 month point where it seems most people relapse, and it seems you are in a good place to face whatever trials or whatever may come. Im proud of you!!! and you should be as well.
And I would like to thank you for that beautiful smile, it always makes me in a good mood. Its not a pick up, Im gay...........lol. Oh and I didnt know there was an app for this site, Im about to download that right now.
