8 weeks ago today

8 Mondays ago today, was supposed to be a blissful day id always remember. Got up early got my girls off to school went to the cardiologist with hubby for his bimonthly exam. Excited to hear how great he was doing.

Yup that was to be a grand day! Everything was going as planned..... Dr went wonderful got my daughters from school did homework prepped dinner and drank at least a bottle of wine before dinner was served.

At one point I remember my husband saying babe your pretty tipsy.... Your slurring!! Nope hun I said I only had two glasses ( wink wink)

And then just like that my picture perfect day took a crash. Literally I lost my balance and fell 5 or so feet onto concrete with my prescious skull taking the impact. The rest of that glorious day fades to ......BLACK

My bottom and the last time I drank. Today I don't look at it as my bottom, now I choose to look at it as my awakening. Most of the humiliation of that day has finally faded but the memory of why I CHOOSE to never drink again lives on.

Thank you all here I could not have done this without SR!

That's a very scary story, and I'm glad you're okay and I'm glad you're sober.

Great job on the 5k time! I used to be an an avid runner myself once upon a time...before I was married and before I turned to booze and gained 60 pounds.

I am back exercising and would love to take running back up again once I get myself in some better shape.
