I think I may have found what works (for me)!

Tennis !! I know that it may not be everyone's cup of tea but I have joined a club down the road and LOVE it. You can play most weekend afternoons and weekday evenings (my usual drinking time).. You just show up and they assign you a partner. I feel great and exhausted (in a good way) and alcohol has not even crossed my mind this evening (well, it has but I banished it). When I am truly exhausted from exercise I KNOW I will sleep well instead of worying that I won't...I have an important meeting tomorrow and know that I am going to go to it not hungover and refreshed ..Plus (cue sound of own trumpet blowing!!) I am quite good at tennis and was pleased to see I had not lost my touch !!:-)..so I know SR folks often recommend exercise but I'd like to add my two pence worth .. It REALLY works!! :-)

My exercise comes in the form of walks with my dogs. It refreshes my mind and body; the air, the sunshine, and the physical exertion. I sleep better and feel better and my dogs love it.

I'm glad you found something that works for you. Keep at it!

Yay, this is great!

I started with long walks after supper each evening and all these years later, it's still something I do as often as weather permits. I love it.

It's hard to play tennis with a drink in your hand.
I love bike riding, that's my tennis!
