7 months sober
I am grateful for my seven months of sobriety. So many things have happened during this time..... So many insights and realizations. I never thought I would enjoy my life and my loved ones the way I do now. I do not miss alcohol one bit. I have seen very clearly that I am the type of person than cannot metabolize alcohol like others can. There is something about alcohol that makes me crave more and more. I can't control it. The only thing that works for me is total abstinence.
