Class of June 2013
Brilliant I have been waiting for this class to join in
My last relapse lasted about 6 weeks and the whole time drinking I knew I would have to make the commitment to quit again. Near the end when I realised how quickly alcohol was taken hold of me and everything in my life I needed to do something about it.
I planned the 1st June as my quit date.
It worked for me and leading up to the date I was disgusted with drinking for the sake of it, so I pleased to say I already have 6 sober days on my side, but over all June is the month everything changes.

I'm in too. Hi Dorris Hi Dee. Was in the March class but haven't really got it together. Hoping to get off to a good start inJune group. Still hang out with March group but they have many AF days and are all going strong and feel I need to chat with newly sober people like me. Good luck everyone xx

Here I am! Today's my official day one. Welcome to all who join. May this be the last class any of us need!
Stress and fear and paranoia are my triggers, but I know now drinking doesn't help with any of that in reality, and only gives me more to worry about.

Welcome Sober day 1 for me too. Out last night and only remember the first hour then black out. Creeping around trying to figure out what happened and if I did anything bad. It's a horrible feeling and one that I don't ever want to have again. Lets do this together

Hi All,
Count me in please - really need this to be successful, sick of trying/failing/trying/failing, I hope I can finally make it stick for good. I'm starting off with a positive view I can do this and I hope we can all be successful,
Good luck All,
Bobby

Hi, all. I'm from class October, 2012, and popped in to say "Hi" and wish you best luck on sobriety journey.
Sobriety is really great thing - it opens up new vision and gives hope and strength to live the life you want to live.
Never give up, take one day at a time, make plans, and hang in here - great place!
Take care and keep posting)

@Dorris - sorry to chime in with suggestions but would you reconsider "stupid alcoholic" for, say, "recovering alcoholic" or "on my way to recovery", or anything more positive?
Come on, calling yourself such names won't do you any good and won't help with your sobriety. Self-beating is destructive.
Take care)

Hi all. I had my last beer last night, hopefully. Had a 63 day sober period from December 13 th onwards, but alcohol sat patiently in the wings and over the last month I have been getting through a fair amount. 1 June seems a good day to try and stop it.
Midnight Blue your so right and only this morning I was thinking I should change it and my pic because I am no where near as angry and frustrated as I was then. Thanks for the push
Nice to see so many jumping aboard, stay strong and we can beat this, the first few days are going to be tough but so worth the smallest of changes we see.

Congratulations to you all on your commitment to sobriety! I was originally from the March class of 2012, then the May class, then finally I quit for good in October. On the 10th of this month I will have 8 months....finally.
Best advice is to be good to yourself in early recovery. Sleep well, eat right, take baby steps and be willing to give yourself a break. I failed twice I believe right around 90-100 day mark, so stay vigilant and do NOT become complacent.
My life is worlds better now and yours will be too. Be good to you!

I'm joining in as 1st June my sober day, officially i'm on day 2 but I was so out of it yesterday and june 1st sounds like a better day to start!
I did have almost 3 weeks and I was going strong but then I messed up and binged for 6 days.
1st of July is also going to be an important date so It will be a nice thought to have a month sober under my belt.
Good luck to everyone... we will be waking up without feeling rough soooooon!
