Don't give up on yourself. Don't hate yourself for slipping up and making mistakes. It's a learning process. Right now, you might feel like you failed- but learn from it. Tomorrow always is better!

You've come to the right place. Keep posting. I can definitely relate to the feelings of self hate.

okay then ginger59....at some point you need to put down the bottle...I don't know if you are an alcoholic...or not...but simply you are a problem drinker...not being funny here... I'm not sure if you hate life because you are drinking or drinking because you hate life... to SR we are here to listen to you and if you want advice just ask...we are all good people...alcohol will not solve anything...you can do it with or without...we care...

If I'm reading your profile correctly, it appears you were sober for 11 years. Obviously you were doing something right, and you overcame the problem once, so you know you can do it again.

I'm not sure what your life situation is right now, but I'm guessing that being sober and dealing with whatever issues you may have would be better than drinking and not dealing with those issues. I hope you choose the former and not the latter.
