hi everybody
i got 17days sober and 24 day clean(not drugs)i don't not was happenning to me my emotions are hay wire. i went to AA meeting feel good.but now for some reason i being thinking of my STBX an how to help her and fail marrige ,them i think that i need to help myself before i help anybody ,i feel alone,bored restless,i been of work since march 4.i'm waiting to get into a treament center, but i'm waiting for the last test to come back and them send it to the treament center.
and them i will be on the waitng list for 3 -4 weeks i dont think i can wait any longer i need to go back to work.the only time i feel at ease is went i'm with my stepkids.
trying to quit drinking and drug after separetion sucks.being alone sucks.
but i will keep working on myself...at lest for today i'm sober...

It is hard - but all the work you do on yourself now will pay back dividends later erfra

Hi erfra. I'm sorry you're feeling so down - but please be patient with yourself.

It took me much longer than 17 days to begin to feel less anxious. Our bodies are still adjusting to life without alcohol. We're having to learn to live again in a new way - without relying on getting numb to see us through. I hope you'll give yourself chance to heal - don't ever give up. You're dong great.
