I don't want to go backwards
Kys, use this experience to learn. What did it take for you to give yourself permission to have a drink? I think by doing that, you can find a way to not let that happen again. Recovery often involves stops and starts, but the main thing is to keep learning and moving forward.

I've taken screens of both of these messages to carry with me tomorrow.
The withdrawals, good god. Thank you for this haunting reminder.
And Anna, very well said - "What did it take for me to give myself permission.."

You're all right. I'm not drinking.
It's drinking that got me into this pile of work, being sober is what will get me out of it eventually. I've made plans to change my long term position, if even from a general hapiness POV. SR has taught me life is too short.
I've a lot to do. Think I'm going to get a good few hrs sleep and wake up early instead.
