Finnally did it...

I finnally went through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and I must say tonight I have peace that I have not known before I feel clean and free to continue my life afresh and sober. My faith in Jesus Christ is strong and iam happy.

Anyone out there on the fence like I have been for over a year go for it, it will be the best decision you make, I was sceptical from the start but they do work and they do change you.

God bless

We work the steps then live them each
day we are sober sharing our own ESH -
experiences, strengths and hopes with
others still struggling with addiction.

All twelve? Since your last post? That's fast, but if it brought you peace, wonderful.

I am really happy you're feeling better and more at peace Lion . I know when it (my knowing alcohol won, no more fight) finally sank in for me, there were struggles, but the peace that came from knowing I was done with the booze was my life saver.

Amen brother or sister!
That's how the program works. I'm on step 6 & holy cow what a nightmare it is for me dealing w/ my biggest character defect-fear but every day I'm making progress & @ nite when I sit & do my review for the day as suggested in the big bk pg86, I can't help but smile & thank God for the progress He's doing in changing me to be a better functioning member of society!
I'm very happy for you
