and feeling good, although my addictive voice has been giving it some severe nattering today I've managed to keep it in it's place. But it's been hard. We're off on holiday for a few days tomorrow with another family so there'll be lots of alcohol around, please wish me luck and I hope I'll be back here Thursday to check in with 12 days clean.....

Sounds tough. I hope you make it too. The more sober time I have the better I about myself and that is so worth it to me. Do you have any plans for how to keep from drinking?

Congrats on seven days! Just remember your goal during this holiday and be strong.

Definitely have a plan - think through likely scenarios and be ready, have your own supply of non alcoholic drinks, remember that any idea that a drink is ok is a lie, and focus on why you stopped drinking in the first place...and keep the focus there.

It's a hard call but I believe it's possible
