maturity level topic revealing

Thanks for all your comments on the maturity of an A being arrested at some point in their lives. I just couldn't figure out why I was so uncomfortable with the "wonderful" eve's my husband was arranging, "just for me". We are the big 50 and the great night was an outdoor concert where he arranged meeting up with his half his age buddy from work and 2 waitresses from the local pub who were half our age. Seems ok in his mind...but lost him a couple of times in crowd while he was trying to stick with his buddy's already drunk in the early part of the eve. I confronted him with alot of things last night...he just think I don't know how to have a good time. I am Mom....and that's not very sexy so what's next I ask...he has already lost his licence and his job because he drives for a living! Help?

Welcome to SR...If you don't drink, then I suggest you join alanon which is currently helping me deal w/ a raging AW!. She's not drinking now coz ran out of $ but its only a waiting game. You will learn how to detach yourself from him, not feed into his anger, not participate in stupid arguments & give gentle responses which 90% of the time will shut the other person down. Its a great program & you're anonymity is kept private & the sup[port is amazing
Best wishes
