I am stressing about this weekend as i will be having a get together with my footy mates on Saturday night for the first time since i have become sober. I did go to a 21st a couple of weeks ago but this is a little different. My mates are all big drinkers and we normally get pretty messy at these get together s! I cant put it off or avoid it any longer so i just have to face and deal with it. The response from my wife and daughter was "just have a beer" when i asked for some advice on how to avoid drinking on the night. hmmmmm I don't think so after getting this far. Wish me luck people's and have a great weekend

You probably don't need it but, Good Luck! I know for me I know that I have too much to loose if I pick up one drink, a lot my buddies don't get it and I need to never forget it. You'll do great...

Pedro you have me beat by 1 day in this sobriety thing!!! I'm day 45, you have come sooooo far a few drinks with you boys is so not worth it. Tell them whatever you have to lie if you have to just don't drink. Hey it may be quite entertaining to watch as they loose control.

I am definitely not going to drink. I might turn up a little bit sick (gastro sounds good) that will give me an escape plan and reason for not drinking That way if i have had enough of the "entertainment" i can get out of there.
