Just getting started...
Hello..I am new to all this. I dont really have a lot to say....just kind of numb quite honestly. I just got fired from my job of 10 years last week. Totally realize that I need to face my demons without alcohol. Is very hard.

Welcome jmck, and sorry to hear about your misfortune. SR is a great place to help with your sobriety, if that's the path you decide to choose. The newcomers forum ( here ) is a great place to start, and there are many other forums dealing with the various recovery methods, etc. Read lots and feel free to share whatever you like, most folks here have seen it all and been there many times, so don't be ashamed to let it all out if that's helpful.
You'll find a lot of support here. I'm glad you joined the family.
