Hi everybody - I'm baaaack.
Hi Folks,
It's been a while since I've been on this wonderful Forum. Since then...
Back with my almost-was x-husband. My eyes are wide open. After 3 years of counseling, I'm much stronger, self reliant, and confident.
AH has been going downhill healthwise. Had his first true hallucination the other day. In his mind, a Cessna plane crashed in the field beside our house. There were many gory details. It was... interesting.
I bought a house out in the country with some acreage, and LOVE the peace and quiet of it all.
My 24 YO son is getting married in July to a lovely girl he met in college. They're both band teachers. My 19 YO son is trying to figure out what to do next.
So... life it good... mostly.
It's good to be here on soberrecovery again. Hello and hugs to friends, new and not-so-new!

Sounds like things are going as well for you as they can, under the circumstances. Glad to hear the kiddos are doing well, and that you have a peaceful place to live.
Sorry to hear the almost-ex is going downhill. It's sad and frustrating to watch, isn't it? Still, it sounds as if you have carved out a peaceful place for yourself, and that is PRICELESS.
Good luck with the 19-y/o! LOL, my adult kiddos (24 and 26) are both finally gainfully employed (probably not doing what they want to do for the rest of their lives, but they gotta figure that out for themselves). They are still living with their dad, but at least they are both paying their upkeep!
