Does anyone have a sobriety tattoo?

I was wondering if anyone got a sobriety tattoo as a reminder of commitment or symbol.

Yes. 3 now. I better not relapse again, it's getting expensive.

I have a brushstroke cross on the too of my spine, the word forgiven down my forearm and then 5 birds flying away to represent freedom.

I'm going to wait until in further in recovery and overcome my eating disorder until i get just one more.

A guy I was in detox had the idea of getting a setting sun as in the Neil Young lyrics 'every junkie's like a setting sun.' I like and might copy

God no! Lol maybe at like 5 years... I went for 2 years and was planning on getting that date tattooed on me. Good thing I didn't because I woulda' had to cross it out and put another one... Then another. And so on and so forth. ;-)

ESN I thought the same thing, lol. How I managed get though life as a drunken college student without a scorpion, fraternity-letter, or Quicksilver tattoo is itself a miracle; I'm thankful to not have one and would think really carefully about it!

I like to think I'm literally living in a new skin - that's enough for me right now

I have lots of tattoos. I guess the ones that most specifically represent me changing my life are "To Thine Own Self Be True" across my upper back, a side piece that starts at my hip and goes to my shoulder, and my 3/4 sleeve (few more sittings left to finish that). The sleeve will be completely paid for with savings from almost a year of cigarette money. Since it's money I would have smoked, I consider it free ink lol
