Smoking weed

Does anyone use weed to help them with alcohol cravings or is that considered bad?

I found it is different high and different feeling. My drug of choice is booze. Booze is alot more convenient. So I tried to replace booze with weed, but in the end it was too hard.to get and to use on the go. So I went back to booze and found out in my heart that I am an alcoholic. I then used AA to get sober. I hope you get the help you need.

I gave up weed and alcohol at the same time.

Anything that messes with my head isn't good for me.

Best wishes on your sober journey~!

I've destroyed my life twice at different times both on pot and booze.
I call them different boats on the same sea of crud.

The problem as I see it is not the weed or the booze - but my fundamental desire to escape and my inability to face reality.

Until I dealt with that, I bounced from drug to drug.

you've come so far already in giving up the booze Doogie - why settle now for 'almost in recovery'?

press on, man

I get addicted to anything that alters my mind. I have no doubt that if I were to pick it up, I would smoke all day everyday. History proves that I, personally can't use any drug in moderation. But that's me and I am not one to talk really.

I don't mind pot smoking In general. I've never had a "problem" myself, with it. But, mostly because I don't really enjoy the feeling. So if I were to get high- I'm pretty sure it would make me crave the buzz I REALLY want - booze. I fear it would help me let my guard down and I'd end up drinking. So, it's a no for me.
