four weeks today

Hey guys.its been four weeks today since I've split from my beloved wine.so much has changed lately! I've realized that my work environment has been a major contributor tobmy problems and I need to get out! I've signed up to do a certificate in fitness and I hope its a positive step toward Making my future happier.hopefully it will lead me out of this awful environment! I still really miss my wine and ciggies, but it just doesn't fit with my new life.i hope to just keep getting stronger everyday xx

Congrats on 4 weeks!

That's a lot of days, in early sobriety. I'm sure you've gone through a wealth of emotions and soul searching. It's good that you're making a positive change while you're still young. I wish I would have done it years ago.....

Good luck on changing your surroundings if that will help you. Here's to your new life!

Congratulations on 4 weeks!!! One of the greatest things I learned in recovery is that what was "okay" in the past, is no longer okay (speaking of careers). It's pretty amazing when we start looking for what is best for US! Lots of hugs and prayers you find the perfect fit in your new endeavor!

Congratulations! Those urges will start to wane slowly and then it's hit or miss. One day you might have an urge but then realize that you went all day yesterday without one. Lol. It's enough to drive you crazy early on but the end CERTAINLY justifies the means. I just celebrated my 1 year, well it's after midnight so yesterday. I feel great and you will also!

Way to go!

You're rolling now; even more benefits await you. You're not missing out on anything. Wine and cigs can't compete with the feeling of waking up to a new day, hopeful and proud.

Congratulations and good wishes in your new career. I also had to separate myself from a toxic work environment. Not sure yet what I will do going forward.
