looking for strength

Hi , I am still struggling. I did do a meeting and got some numbers . I think this should help. I still am going to use this site as my main support as well as NA. I won't give up. Thanks

glad you are not giving up.

Rick.... you have been doing drugs a long time. Give yourself some breaks here. Its a learning curve to deal with crack cravings. Crack cravings for me are very intense. It requires some help even to deal with. Good you are reaching out at NA.

Can you see a therapist as well? A crisis counselor?

I will be as well as the many here on SR to be with you.

This is doable. Beatable. By you! If i could do it you can believe me.

check in later with us.

k

Hi. Hang on, no one said it's easy. This is a good site for help but skin meetings are very beneficial. Good for getting numbers, use them as when you do you often help the person your calling as much/more than yourself. Your pain level is a good remember when so it doesn't have to be repeated again. Hang in and BE WELL

Not giving up is the key! NA is a great place to start...and stay started! lol

I didn't get it all in a day. But not giving up, no matter what, is what worked in the end. Staying in an atmosphere of recovery like SR forums and NA meetings is a great way to keep breathing in hope and strength.

You can beat this and your being here is helping countless others gain the strength to know they can beat their addiction as well.

Riky, we're all here for you. In your posts it is obvious what a kind and compassionate person you are. We need many, many more "yous" (hey, warned you I was from Philly ) on this planet. You will beat this and you will be free of it...don't ever be afraid to ask for help or use those numbers. Until then, we are all here to give back to you what you so freely give to us. Big hug and lots of supportive vibes coming your way.

I gave in to my cravings this week. I felt better for about 10 minutes and worse for about 30 hours. That's a crappy return on investment. Tough it out, Buddy. You can do this.

You are going great!

Struggles can do one of two things.....
Make you stronger
Or
Lead you back to where you don't want to be

You have that key in your hand
Have a wonderful weekend!
Good luck
