Nearly everyone in there was there for a legal drug. Lots of Benzos, methadone and alcohol. Isn't it crazy that these drugs require a medical detox where you can go to a non medical detox for heroin, meth etc. there was only 2 people there for heroin but they had large habits like 2g a day

Out of body type experiences, I think it can also be called depersonalization, is very common in benzo withdrawal. What did they tell you to expect? Do you have follow up treatment options? After care? Benzo support groups? I found it to be a special kind of hell.

So glad you went for this and amazed by your courage. One thing that kept me going was the thought that every day of hell I went through brought me one day closer towards recovery and one day further from the rut I had been in.

Thanks for the update Midlife. I was just thinking of you earlier today and wondering how you were doing. Keep the faith, there are good times ahead.

I'm glad to hear from you. You always said the hardest part, would be when you got out. Please do whatever it takes to keep moving forward, so you never have to do this again.

Enjoy your homecoming

My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I speak from experience when I say, Hang in there.. How long were you in for if you don't mind me asking? I have a "friend" that was in for 3 days.. it worked..

Yay MLC! So proud of you...follow their advice. You are free - life is now your choice and you are no longer a physically chemically dependent person. That is so hard and painful and your courage is admirable.

Make it stick this time...we are all here for you!!! Good job!
