Family Programming - What to expect?
Do you mean the family program? I didn't really want to go to the one offered at my son's rehab- I was kind of sick of it at that point. But, I'm glad I did. Overall it was a fantastic experience. I especially enjoyed relating to other parents and made friends that I still keep in touch with.

I went to the family recovery program dragging my heels. By that time I was angry, exhausted, angry, scared...did I mention angry? The last thing I wanted to do was take time away from work to sit in a room with other miserable family members of A's.
I will be forever grateful for that experience. Realized that first morning we weren't there to discuss the A's in our life, this was totally about us. By the end of the program I realized I wasn't feeling angry, that was huge for me. It started me on the path to my own recovery, and I met some wonderful people.
It will be one more layer of support for you.
