taking that step

Well I found this amazing message board yesterday while in the throws of a day 2 detox....I was a binge drinker for 8 years and I know now is the time to stop....my WD's aren't as serious as some, but I am finally being able to eat a bit and the shakes/muscle spasms have gone down along with the sweats.....I am just ready to be rid of alcohol!! It causes everything bad in my life and I just want to turn it around now (I'm 28)....I really like all the support and love I've seen on this board and am excited for a new BEAUTIFUL chapter!!!

Thanks for welcoming me! I hope with the supportive system here I can have the power to get better for good!! I've tried to quit before....but now I am in danger of losing my relationship (which also means where I live) and my job...I have to do this!! The longest I've been able to quit in the last 8 years was ...I believe 8 days...
