I love my sober nights

I am typically a morning poster. By now I am ensconced in a cop show eating pickles or carrots or ice cream. Sometimes all with in a short time of each other.

As I am typing the title I thought of that cheesy Eddie rabbit song "I love the rainy nights" lol but I digress...

So I hit the sack early. But today I have so much energy. My sober evening never ever get old.

Planted peppers this evening. Sat on the porch watching the sun hang lower and lower.

To those struggling this moment. Hang in there. I am just like you and have many nights on the ledge. But not every night in your future needs to be.

Have a good evening!

Ken

I am right there with you - love my sober nights and especially the SOBER morning! Waking up in the morning without the shakes and a foggy head! Great post.

I'm addicted to ID Discovery. It is my guilty pleasure but I love it!!! I can watch for hours...

Much prefer dealing with sore eyes from TV rather than the horror of a hangover.

I love my sober nights too. And my days. And every minute I can get.

Nice post, thanks!!!!!

Great post, thanks I was just sitting on the porch taking in the scents of summer. Reminded me of fun childhood times. I forgot what summer evenings smelled like, probably because I was passed out drunk by 7:30 pm.

Awesome post.
I've enjoyed watching the Sox, Bruins games... at home these last 17 days...sober.
I mostly enjoy waking up without that awful, " I don't want to wake up ", feel like crud feeling.

Great post, Ken! What varieties of peppers did you plant? I've a few cayenne, Thai chili, and tabasco pepper plants out this year.

Right now I like the quiet when the kid goes to bed. Something nice about a clear mind in a peaceful setting.

Um, Ken...are you pregnant? LOL. Guess it would only be if you ate all of them together, right?

Great post and hope you had a wonderful rest of the evening. What kind of peppers did you plant?

Thanks and big hug to you!

For the record I have eaten all three right after each other last night. I got TCBY then a pickle then some carrots with it.

The rabbit has not yet died so I am safe..... For now.... But who knows huh?

I planted a bunch of red and yellow bells and the drab bitter green ones.

My favorite snacks at night are veggies... Lettuce, pickles... I make my own sometimes... And raw potatoes. Yes raw. Love them. Red skin!

Woke refreshed and ready for this rainy day here.

Stay sober today. Moment to moment if you need to. That's the only way sometimes.

K

At 12.30am I ate 3 bags of crisps (chips) and 3 twix bars... haha I don't care, I'm a 'tin-ribs' so any fat will do me (sorry, I lost alot of weight with a head cold, followed by a bad chest infection)

Weasel, thanks for this post.
I am pleased that I have been able to enjoy shows, all the Brit shows on PBS tv especially, and see them through to the end. Normally, I'd crash on the couch, wasted, and wake up in the wee hours, tv still on. Starting day 8 today.
Funny though, last night I noticed I didn't know what to do with my hands while watching tv. Normally, I'd have a wine glass in my hand most of the time. I'm going to dig up one of those squeezy stress balls, and see if that helps, or maybe rub in hand cream.

Congrats on day 8 L!

Maybe that's why I eat a lot. To stay busy with my hands. I also use my iPad to play slot games. Hit the button and watch tv.

Also try to get up and move around. Exercise is helpful.
