need help finding online meetingthat meets using web cams
Does anyone know where I can find a 12 step meeting (for example: Al-Anon) that meets online via Skype or some other platform that allows you to use a microphone or a web cam to attend meetings? It is really difficult for me to type in regular chat rooms because of my physical limitations. I have been unable to find a face-to-face meeting that I can attend.

The tech is not rocket science.
We do this for classrooms and boardrooms all the time.
A limiting factor may be for folks in rural areas (where the meetings are more rare and therefore more needed), due to bandwidth limits, but as Mike noted, voice/phone is better than none, as well -- so work with what there is rather than work against what is lacking.
An admin type question -- how would one maintain the Anon aspect with this? "Anonymous" status and being "broadcast" seems like a hard mix to maintain?

Its not 12 step, but Smart Recovery has meetings (including family specific) that are done in voice, and you can use your microphone to comment, or you can type. For family they discuss many of the same topics such as enabling, boundaries, self care, goal setting, etc. I dont know if they use Skype, but I did use it when working with my own therapist for a while. It was very cool, and worked great.
