Hello everyone I was prescribed gabapentin by my doctor 5 months ago and it helped with my pain at first but now I just want off of it I was taking 300 mg 4 times a day (as instructed) so on Sunday I took the dose down to half then on Tuesday I took one cause I heard stopping abruptly can be fataland now I'm not taking them,so I'm jus wondering if anyone knows when the withdrawal will end? I've been experiencing shortness of breathe,sweating alot but not too frequently,and I can't sleep,and I've been having just irrational and annoying thoughts I can maintain them its just a little overwhelming at times cause they just flood in out of nowhere and it's interfering with my schooling.please help?

Hi Bastian

thats something you really need to ask your Dr - we can;t give you medical advice here. I understand you want off the meds but changing the dose yourself is not always the way to go.

I'm not trying to worry you, but please do see a Dr for your own peace of mind.

Can you bring your parents into this?
