Wink Overslept!! Oh well I wasn't hungover.

This morning I was tired and overslept. First time in a very long time that I did it because I was actually just tired. Not hungover, not still drunk or depressed but simply tired.

Day 7 and feeling pretty darn good even if I was running alittle late.

I had a bad problem oversleeping for several days after about a week of sobriety. I was just exhausted. Also when I drank, I always woke up at 3am and then again at 5am, it was like clockwork, didn't matter if I went to sleep at 2, I'd wake up at those times. So i sort of relied on that to suppliment my alarm clock... did not work out to well

Jean77,
Overslept? Not that big of a deal.
WOW, I overslept because I was tired and needed a little extra sleep.
I DIDN'T OVERSLEEP BECAUSE I WAS DRUNK OR HUNG-OVER!!!

That in itself is actually such a great feeling. I did something just because it happened, NOT because I was DRINKING.

Those little a-ha moments give me encouragement and verification that my Sobriety is SO worth it all.

I'm finally starting to sleep all night long too, it's a great feeling. I have 3 kids though so sleeping in is never an option... ;-)

Good for you it does feel good to wake up sober, without the guilt and feeling like a total failure.

Me too!

I was driving to work this morning, on time for a change, and thought: what PURE JOY it is not to be hungover today!!!
