Congratulations and hang in there. It helped me a lot to remember that I never had to endure this again IF I didn't pick up the first drink again. It is that bad so keep the pain green in the memory as the demon rum will be telling you "it wasn't that bad, man up, one won't hurt etc." BE WELL

Stick with it.I know how long a day can seem, break it down and do 10 minutes at a time. You never have to do this again.Day 4 was awful for me,I drank again over and over and it got worse, never better.
I wish you well.

Christyham, Yes, I still feel terrible about how my addiction affected those close to me. My consequences were horrendous and you'd think I would have gotten sober years ago. Anyway, some days all I can do is sit on my hands and that's a successful day. I'm new to sobriety but today is all I have and I am going to make it a sober one not just for me but for those who are dear to me. It is my way of making amends. It has gotten better so hang in there.
