Hi! I am a newcomer and have bee here about a week. Im very glad I found this site and during my first cup of coffe, I felt the need to post. This is day 56! I have tried to quit before. I have drank for over 30 years, more than half my life. Would love to know how to make it work this time. I know i am an alcoholic, and it is killing me. I want to do it for myself, but I also want to do it for some loved ones and friends. Is that wrong? I am finding some great advice on this site. if anyone has any other pointers, I am open for anything.
thanks

Welcome. Not putting this or other sites down, my sobriety started with AA many years ago and it continues to work if we are honest with ourselves. I was an expert with personal dishonesty and that took me more pain to sober up. It may be simple but not always easy, however it's worth it in the long term by far. BE WELL
