Hello everyone,
I am new to this website and ran across it while googling things about DUI's. If you send me a message and it takes a little while for me to write back it's because I'm still getting accustomed to navigating my way around my profile.
I decided to join due to the fact that I got my very first DUI last year. (2012) I am now 2 weeks away from my 23rd birthday and unfortunately I got my second DUI this weekend. I have court later this week for my first DUI. At this time I feel so overwhelmed. I'm sure this site will help me tremendously as I work on my way to sobriety.
Thats just a little bit about me.
I hope to get to know everyone!

A new beginning
Hello everyone,
My name is Royce and I'm completely new to this whole blogging world. I decided to join this site due to the fact that I just got my second DUI this past weekend. I look forward to speaking to everyone and getting to know everyone.

Welcome to SR. Much of the communications here are right in the message boards, and as you may have found private messages can also be sent and received.
A 2nd DUI certainly warrants looking at your drinking habits. Are you planning to quit or have you already? Let us know how we can help you figure out a plan.

U're in the right place. No need to search anymore. I got my 2nd one in May & still waiting on court date but I'm doing what I can to show I'm truly sorry & not coz I got caught. I'm going to aa meetings & sharing my experience, strength & hope to others. At end of every mtg, I have the chairperson sign an attendance sheet even tho I'm not yet required to do so. I chair meetings also & do other service work eg make coffee, clean kitchen counters & cups, organize literature cabinet etc. I love my home group & I'll NEVA b able to do anything or pay enuf $ for what has been given to me!
I suggest you join a group near you & work the steps. I'm sure its overwhelming for you esp having got them close to each other. But hang in there man; don't quit or give up b4 you're miracle of sobriety happens
Btw, I live in powder springs so good to have another Georgian in here
