Hello Popchile, welcome to SR. When I was new to SR back in February, I found it useful to read different threads to get a feel for the environment, and I joined the class thread. You may want to read some of the posts in the Class of April thread, and if it sounds like a support system that resonates with you, jump on in and introduce yourself. SoberRecovery has been a lifeline for me and I sincerely hope that you will find your inspiration here as well!

HI there, thanks to everyone who replied. Trying out the web site for the first time. Taught it would be good to keep me sober as I live in the middle of no where and can only get to a few meetings

Welcome. If you are comfortable, tell us a bit about yourself - how long you've been sober, what your DOC was, etc.

I have been sober for 9 weeks on Tuesday. Alcohol is my doc. I have been in and out of AA for a long time but I do feel this time around I have finally accepted i am an alcoholic. I can't get to as many meetings as i would like. Lately the meetings I have been at i have found difficult as some members have been rambling on about rubbish and I have not been relating much to them. But I should say that does not mean I don't want to go to them anymore. I am praying to my hp to understand and practice the concept of 'live and let live' but taught this website would be of use as well
