Today I got my 30 day chip and I asked for a sponsor..I haven't received a list of phone numbers that you often get when you go to a new meeting and being in IOP they told me I need a sponsor. Well there were a lot of women in this meeting tonight and I asked and two people raised their hand: One stated she didn't want another sponsee and the other half raised her hand and said the same thing. I know I should keep an open heart but I felt really uncomfortable and rejected. The meetings I have been attending have had too many men and too few women with enough sobriety or like tonight. What advice would you have?
