Hi,
I am 26, female, dealing with alcohol problems for the past 2 years. Have been lurking for a while but I joined the board to get some feedback on things regarding my treatment. Maybe words of support, idk. I haven't actually started on the journey yet. Will have to this week for sure.
Nice to be here!

Welcome! 26 is a great age to quit, you'll save yourself a lit of misery! What are your plans? Reading on here is a great start but the more support you have the better. There are a lot of options- AA, individual counseling, outpatient rehab, inpatient, just to name a few. I read a ton of recovery books too, you'll find you have a lot more time on your hands to do things which is nice!
Welcome AHM. You will find a lot of support and encouragement here. There are many of us who are new here and are finally ready to quit drinking. As others have mentioned, you're young, so if you think you have a problem now is a good time to address it--you will almost certainly save yourself a lot of heartache.
Welcome to the forum AHM. There is a great deal of experience her, and you'll get a ton of support. Do you have a plan as to how to give up? Are you thinking the AA route? Look forward to seeing you posting a lot.

Welcome. I'll have 24 hours in an hour. Longest i've had in past couple years is maybe 48 hours. I'm going to prove to myself I can do a week. then try for month then maybe forever. Thing kinda hard for me is filling my free time with something other than alcohol, but i'm looking forward to finding new hobbies. welcome
