Can't believe it's been 2.5 months! (77 days to be exact) I will not lie and say it has gone by quickly. This is the longest I've ever been sober and I feel like I'm walking through molasses. Went through alcohol detox and a 2 month outpatient rehab program, all voluntarily. Now I am attending aftercare groups at the hospital and doing a lot of 12 step meetings. I am fortunate to still have a good job and my car, and I know that getting sober was the right decision. I guess I figured it would get a bit easier over time, but it's still very rough.

It does get easier. Just keep going to meetings. Do you have a sponsor? Be sure and get one. You are definitely on the right path. Congrats on 2.5 months.

Great job on 77 days! Not easy to attain, I know because I too am on my 77th day sober.

Congratulations on 2.5 months pawsgal! I'm close at 75 days! Am so grateful and happy to be on this side of sobriety. You're on a great path that holds a brighter future.

Thanks guys! That's cool SoberJohn, it's been a long grueling 77 days for me personally. I do not have a sponsor yet, that's kindof one thing I've been afraid of. I am not ruling it out but just haven't found the right person. Until I do, I know I am fortunate to have a strong faith in my higher power who keeps me going.
