Moving stuff

I am moving from OKC to Denver in a week, I have an interview lined up, but do not have the job yet. I have spent the day looking for tires for my fiancée's car, going through all my crap and packing. I have never done this sober... Or with a partner. I am getting waves of excitement followed by nausea followed by terror Not really funny, but trying to keep this post light and just looking for supportive feedback on handling a move. Trying not to make a movie

Good Evening.
Its happening. You are moving. I relocated here last June. It was very scary, very unfamiliar, very overwhelming. I understand your situation very well. This is a new adventure for the two of you. Breathe deep and know that you two will be just fine. You will settle into your place and start to take in your new surroundings. We are all here with you. Im happy for you that you have an interview. All will be well. Yes, it will.

All I want to know is how does one acquire so much crap? About to tackle the shoes... and dishes? I know it will be ok, just had to take a SR break, I swear I spend 4-6 hrs a day reading on here, and also 24 hrs a day not drinking. I think this is a win-win!

No moving movies please!

I helped someone move a month or so ago. The main advice I have is don't pack giant boxes full of books because the boxes will be too heavy.

A sober experience with a partner will make for a fantastic move!

You are getting to go on a new adventure! You get to reinvent yourself. What an opportunity. No matter what happens you'll see new things to think about.

I never understand the crap accumulation. I tend to purge the house often. My husband thinks i over purge. I like to get rid of it ALL.
I really do not like the packing part of moving.

Well, okay if you have to. I think that maybe you should keep that small box of Seuss within arms reach. You never know when you will need a Suess fix. I like to pick up my Where the Sidewalk ends often. It a very exciting book.
I am excited for you. I think that you will be climbing mountains soon enough. Good for you K.
