[Venting] Today kind of sucked

Today was day 4 off booze.

First 3 days were great, if I had any withdrawals I didn't notice them and no cravings...

...until today. Around 11 AM, I started fantasizing about a beer. A pint can, maybe Boddington's, ideally Czechvar but they don't stock it around here. I work (mostly) from home, so drinking during the day doesn't present any logistical problems.

So, from 11 AM to 2 PM, I was this guy. Except cuter. In my opinion anyway.

Then, at 2 PM, I bought some turkey snacks for lunch. They made, shall we say, a strong impression on my digestive system...

...some good did come out of it, it definitely took my mind off beer. And running repeatedly from my desk to the bathroom probably burned off a few calories as well.

Anyway, day 4 and rant both over. Hope everyone else had a good day.

I sympathize with the working at home business. It does make it easy to drink during the day. Not that it ever really helped with getting work done, lol.

Hang in there. Some days will be good, some bad.

And now you have 4 days!!!!!

Keep up the good work! I have moments still 2, believe me, but they do pass eventually. Although at the time it doesn't seem like its going 2.

Good for you not giving in to the craving. It does get easier and the cravings not so strong with time.

Great job and thanks for the lol I always say that if I still have my humor, I have more sanity than it seems and am stronger then I think. As are you It gets better. I remember being sick to my stomach as my body got used to food rather than just wine. Detox is a mind and body cleanse for sure and all worth it

It does take the body and mind a bit of time to adjust and it certainly isn't fun....but well worth it I am finding out! Don't give in to the cravings....find something else to busy your mind. I find creating a gratitude list always helps.
