Friends have told me I don't think ur an alcoholic ur pretty good. I do know I'm an alcoholic but I say maybe I am an alcoholic maybe I'm not to u but its not hurting anybody if I don't drink sometimes I do when I drink I'd just rather not and that should be ok with u and everybody, its the way I want

Friends are not the best judges. They have they own agendas, whether overt or subconscious. Trust yourself, your Dr and other recovering addicts such as those here. I actually don't bother my friends much with my own recovery. I only have four close friends that know and two of them don't think I have a problem. I know I have a problem and that's all I need to know.

I wish you all the best on your journey of recovery. You'll get more than you bargained for- sobriety is just a side effect of a much richer, fuller life. Go for it!

Thanx S and ya I don't push sobriety on anybody, it didn't work on me so I'll leave that one alone. It is a better life

Don't listen to your friends, they don't know how you feel inside. Trust your gut feelings. If drinking is a problem, then stop drinking. Not easy, but simple.
