We always said Forever
we would take it to the end
never give it up
but this time my heart can’t mend.

The mistrust cut so deep into me
then my words hurt you too
but when you lied again
I had to say "we're through."

I gave you all I had
I tried to make it last
but now all we have
are memories from the past.

So I look at me, and what I see
I see a girl so broke inside
who's been through some misery.

And now I’m moving on
with the pain that kills inside
but I’m starting to forget
by reminding myself, how you lied!

The core of my soul has been hurt
So deeply by your actions.
It literally turned me off
Of all other attractions.

You were the one who
Broke down my wall,
Opened my heart to love
Not just to you, but to all.

You were my world or
so it seemed,
My life has changed
My hopes, my dreams

Feeling lost, confused and can't cope
Just because you couldn't stay away from your own pulling rope

Trying to face the world day by day
Not wanting these traumatic emotions to stay

I gave you everything I could give
Now emotionally I can barely live

Your love was it true because
Your lies, mistrust and deception showed thru
I'm alone, scared, hurt and don't know what to do

I tried so hard.
I tried my best.
I gave you my all,
and now there's nothing left.

Thanks AnvilheadII...although I can't take credit for all of it...just about 75 percent of it I researched some poetry, took a few lines, but then added my own flare to make them my own, then came up with the rest myself. I was just trying to write something to make my husband understand a bit more clearly...I hope after reading it, he will.
