Finally figured out whats wrong

So as I previously posted lately, I've been having tough days thinking of alcohol as I'm now 114 Days sober. I couldn't figure out whats wrong as I did miss it but the sobriety has been great too. But as I was reading another post here, Fallow posted something that finally made me realize why I've been thinking of alcohol so much. I was stated 'the excitement of being sober has wore off' or something along those lines. I thought about it and realized that is what it is. I was excited about it at first but lately, it's just now I'm sober, and now what ? So now I have to figure out how to make the fact that I'm sober exciting again, and that may be the next step in my sobriety. Thanks for reading. Also, thank you fallow for that post although wasn't directed to me it definitely helped me.

I hear you... I'm at 7 weeks and that boredom is starting to flicker in for me. Do you have any ideas about your next step?

What I did to strengthen my sobriety was to be grateful for my blessings. Every day I'd find something to be grateful for . That made a big difference. Once I started counting my blessings my sobriety got stronger and I felt more balanced.

After a period of putting my head where the head wasn’t designed to go on the morning after I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and asked for help and have been dry for a lot of 24 hours. Excitement starts with not picking up and being proud of accomplishing that feat. My next thing was getting really active, not just picking up a cup or two after a meeting. I found LIVING the slogans very helpful and fulfilling. And above all keep coming. BE WELL

Well, my favorite hobby even when I was drinking, although inconsistent because of drinking, was lifting weights. I haven't had the chance to lift very much during this sobriety because of school, work, community service, DUI classes etc. however, I think if I can find the time to get back in there that this will take my sobriety to the next level. My mind is dying to get into the gym but finding the time has been a challenge. Luckily, I'm on spring break now so I will utilize that time to get back in there while others choose to drink their week away like I would have done in years past.
