Newcomer's 1st post
Hello everybody,
This is my 1st post and I'm a bit slow on the computer. I started to post on Day 2 but lost it somewhere so I'm trying again and now made it through day 6!! Hope I get the hang of this posting and staying sober. And I've learned over the years that support is crucial to recovery. I'm a 56 yr old female wife and mother. Husband travels a lot for work and kids off to uni so a bit of empty nest syndrome. At least I have the dog I must walk. Been totally out of recovery for about 6 yrs and in and out (mostly in) for about 18 yrs. Just couldn't seem to get it and stay sober. Having some moderate health problems now and got a scare. And I'm sick of being sick!! I want to get healthy again and get my life back!! So I'm here to get my life back and some support so any help and suggestions appreciated. Feeling pretty good just now but know there will be ups and downs. Thanks for listening.

Thanks for quick and encouraging replies. I actually am an American living in Scotland for 23 yrs (married to a Scot). I do miss my family which has I'm sure has contributed to the drinking.
Although I think a major problem is staying up to late (like now), getting up too late , and not having a routine. I will say goodnight and work on this problem tomorrow.
