Day 92 My Dad has died and lost his battle with Alcohol
My Dad died at 4am this morning.
I was there to see his last breath and held his hand through his last 9 hours.
Can honestly say I'll never get that picture of my Dad taking his last breath out my mind.
I think I was being optimistic though thinking my Dad would get better and never drink again.

So sorry for your loss of your father. Day 92 is days sober for yourself? Keep up the great work and maybe you can use your father's death from this awful disease as motivation to stay sober for you and your family.
I'm sorry for your loss, but I am happy about what you have gained. You have stayed sober throughout this sad and frightening ordeal. You were THERE for your Dad, and for the rest of your family, when it really counted.
That's what living a sober life allows you to do--to suit up, and show up, and to be the kind of son, brother, friend that you would like to be.
Hugs, and may you all be at peace.
