Alcoholic loses mind after two weeks sober
My OH stopped drinking for 2 wks. At the 2 wk mark were strung so tight that they snapped in a grocery store. While I was bagging our groceries my OH couldnt stand waiting at the cashier untill we bagged everything and paid. They ran me over with the cart breaking my hand. In the car punched me in the face and at the hospital couldnt sit and wait for my xrays on my hand and had to go home. Once I was out of hosital back home they were half into fifth drink vodka and orange. Alcoholism should be called extreme anxiety an indiviual can only relieve with a drink I think.

please tell me you called the cops and had him arrested for assault and battery? and that you did not just go home to the same person who landed you in the ER?

He's not recovering, he's still an alcoholic. He's still drinking.
I know irrationality, impatience and irrationality are three key haracteristics of A's - whether drinking or not. But physical abuse is never ok, regardless of how roughy a RAH's program is.
I hope you're not living in the same house as him; he doesn't sound at all stable. Do you have a trusted friend or relative you can stay with for a while? You need to be out of this situation...

So she beat you up and left you at the hospital? Then went home to drink?
Dude that's abuse, plain and simple.
I put up with that sort of sh*t for years cause I thought I was a man and couldn't be abused by a women. I was wrong.
Abuse works both ways. Get away from this violent person.

Dear fadedjeans, you are being abused. Please get away from her. You aren't doing her any favors and you don't deserve abuse. Abuse is abuse--IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IS DOING IT!
I am making the assumption that it is a woman---I realize I might be wrong. Nevertheless--the facts are the same. You don't deserve abuse. By rights, this person should be in jail right now. Assault and battery.
