Mood Swings

I am so tired of the mood swings! It is great when I am up, but when I drop it hits me like a ton of bricks!

Needless to say I am not feeling to good today.

I hate the mood swings as well. I actually get mad at myself when I am in a crabby mood. Try to remember that everyone has mood swings. Us in recovery may look at some things too closely and make it seem worse than it is. I know that the mood swings are part of the brain healing but they are also a part of life. Hang in there girlie!!

I have to agree that the moods swings are just part of the brain healing process. I say you baby yourself today. Get as much rest as possible. Drink lots o water. And don't take on anyone else's issues today. Your brain/body needs ALLL of your attention today. Take care.

PreciousKitty, I am the exact same! Feeling like the world's against me, feeling like people are ignoring me, getting upset for no reason. Then on the flip side, elated, feeling "invincible", laughing! Just a constant merry-go-round!

It gives me a little a bit of solace knowing that other people are feeling the same!

I think the most important thing I learned in recovery was patience.
Things will even out...you will find your emotional equilibrium PK...try and give it time

Went home and took a 40 minute nap. I feel much better now. If I hadn't have read these posts before I walked out of the office I likely would have stopped by the liquor store.

Thanks everyone!
